TO TOUCH FOOTBALL COMMUNITIES ACROSS AUSTRALIA
At DoorDash, we are committed to delivering good and building local communities nationally.
We are so proud to partner with Touch Football Australia to deliver good to our local communities because we know that Touch Footy Clubs have an incredible impact on Australians from all walks of life, through connection, fitness, fun and friendships within their teams and in turn local communities.
With Covid budget cuts and extreme flooding destroying sporting grounds, Touch clubs across Australia have been doing it tough. We believe it’s important to give back in a meaningful way, and we are excited to help acknowledge the amazing work Touch Footy Clubs play by providing the resources they need to keep supporting their communities
Earlier this year, we launched a $100,000 grant-based funding program in a partnership with Touch Football Australia, allowing affiliated Touch Football clubs across the country to apply for funds.
12 winners from 65 applications will now share the $100,000 grant to pay for new uniforms, club house repairs, coaching programs, and more.
GRANT RECIPIENT STORIES
Harlequin Touch Club (Victoria)
The Harlequin Club is nearly 95 years old and runs Victoria’s largest club Touch Football program. Their purpose is to provide an inclusive family environment in which players love the game, have fun and realise their potential.
The DoorDash grant-based funding program will help the Touch Footy Club grow participation, develop referees and enhance the experience at Melbourne’s largest junior program. They are also looking forward to launching the “Have a Dash at Touch Footy” program.

Burdekin Touch Association (Queensland)
Burdekin Touch Association caters for approximately 600 players from ages 5 to 70 and all genders and ethnic groups are welcome. The club has a strong indigenous representation, supported by the local Burdekin Area Youth WATCH (BAYWATCH) group which registers several teams each year.
The DoorDash grant-based funding program will help the Touch Footy Club implement strategies to increase player numbers to enhance both physical and social engagement in the community.

Ipswich Touch Association (Queensland)
Geographically the club is situated in one of the more diversified suburbs where everybody in the community is accepted as #FalconsFamily – Irrelevant of their background age, sex, race, gender, physical capabilities and economic disadvantages. The flooding had ceased all touch football in Ipswich.
Partnering with DoorDash means they can immediately return to competitions whilst delivering larger and stronger experiences in sport for all involved.
